Jakarta – Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that the implementation of the 2026 State Budget (APBN) showed solid performance through January 31, 2026.
Government revenue has reached Rp 172.7 trillion, representing a 9.5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. This rise in government revenue was primarily driven by tax revenue of Rp 116.2 trillion through January 2026, up 30.7 percent year-over-year.
The growth in tax revenue stemmed mainly from the manufacturing and trade sectors. This indicates that economic conditions are improving.
“Tax revenue in January grew by 30.7 percent compared to last year. This indicates both economic improvement and enhanced efficiency in tax collection. I hope this trend will continue in the future,” said Purbaya during the APBN KiTa press conference in Jakarta on Monday (2/23).
Meanwhile, in terms of government spending, the amount spent in January 2026 totaled Rp 227.3 trillion, up 25.7 percent from the same period last year.
“This indicates an acceleration in government spending since the beginning of the year, particularly to support priority programs aimed at maintaining purchasing power and driving economic growth,” Purbaya said.
